Trama
Il film racconta le strategie, la vita e gli amori di piloti di caccia che saranno coinvolti in azioni dirette a risolvere la crisi della penisola koreana sull'orlo di una guerra.
Il luogotenente 'Hoon Jung Tae' (Rain) è il piu' giovane pilota della Black Eagle team. Durante una manifestazione aerea tenta una manovra assolutamente vietata dove la velocità dell'aereo viene portata oltre il limite consentito, perciò si mette nei guai e per punizione viene cacciato dai Black Eagle e traferito nel 21° Fighter Wing, un'unità da combattimento.
Mentre è lì si innamora del sergente 'Yu Se Young' (Shin Se Kyung), meccanico aeronautico donna, molto severa e distaccata.
Quando durante un combattimento tra caccia un compagno risulta disperso sul confine tra le due Coree, Tae Hoon ed una squadra di recuperò cercherà di salvare il pilota.

Curiosità:
- è il remake del film coreano Red Scarf (Balgan Mahura) del 1964
- il film ha cambiato molti titoli durante la lavorazione: da Live in the sky, a Red Muffler, a Soar: Close to the Sun, a R2B: Return to Base.

Finalmente è arrivata la conferma di un nuovo movie per RAIN :amor:

Rain e Shin Se Kyung sono stati scelti come protagonisti del film Red Scarf/Red Muffler (ho letto entrambi i nomi^^) ...diretto da Kim Dong Won ...si dice che il film costerà sui 10 milioni di dollari .
è un film molto atteso ,viste le recenti tensioni con la korea del nord,dato che il film parla dell'attacco alla capitale della korea del nord Pyongyang.

Rain interpreterà luogotenente 'Hoon Jung Tae' pilota di caccia ...sarà il suo ultimo film prima di partire per il servizio militare...e ha già firmato il contratto,mentre Shin Se Kyung sarà Sae Young un meccanico di aeromobili e il contratto lo deve ancora firmare.
i due protagonistiavranno una relazione ...inoltre il titolo del film potrebbe essere cambiato in "Living in the Sky"

ecco una nuova news che sembra la conferma della prima

sembra ormai deciso che RAIN sarà l'interprete del film "living in the sky"..che è il remake di un movie del 1964 (red muffler)..ed è un movie per celebrare i 60 anni della guerra di korea...

Flight Lieutenant 'Jung Tae Hoon' (Rain), the youngest fighter pilot in Black Eagle team, tries an absolutely forbidden maneuver which speeds over the limit while putting on an air show, so he gets into trouble with the team and is shunted off to a regional combat air patrol. While there, he falls in love with Sergeant 'Yu Se Young' (Shin Se Kyung), a female aircraft mechanic who is very strict and uptight.
A scene in the film, while there are dogfights between South Korea and North Korea aircraft (F15K vs MIG29 ), a fighter pilot from South Korea ejects from the falling airplane near the border and is isolated within it. The story'll show the intrepid combat air patrols' efforts to rescue the isolated pilot on the razor's edge.

le riprese dovevano iniziare a fine febbraio..ma la data è stata posticipata..al 7 marzo (già iniziamo coi posticipi :spavento:

)

inoltre l'attore Jung Seok Won che ha fatto il militare nei marines...farà parte del cast..
sarà un investigatore militare e aiuterà RAIN in una missione particolare
